Supporting many of our local good causes

Wirral Together

Since May 2023, your local Conservative councillors have used their allocation from the Council's Wirral Together fund to support local good causes, community groups and small charities in Wallasey, Moreton and Saughall Massie.

Each Councillor across Wirral was allocated £1,000 (for the period May 2023 - March 2024), to be used within the Fund's criteria. Councillors don't handle the payments, invoices or bank details - instead, a council officer carries out checks on each application.

In response to applications we have received, we have tried to share this fund as widely as possible among eligible groups. Sadly, some applications had to be declined.

We've supported groups that work with young people and pensioners, those that help to tackle loneliness or money worries and those that help people get fit.

While we sadly can't fund as many groups and organisations as we'd like, and the ones we have been able to support may be needing further funds, there are some links below that can help to identify other grants, information and funding opportunities:

Our share of the Wirral Together Fund for the current year has now been fully committed and no further applications are invited. 

If an allocation of funding is made available to us for 2024/25, we will contact all those groups who register below to let them know.

Please note: if your organisation is not based in, or active in either of the two wards listed, you will need to contact councillors in the ward where it is active or based, details are on the council website.

Priority will be given to groups and organisations that have not previously benefited from the Wirral Together Fund or those that, in the judgement of the councillor, can have the greatest impact.
