The independent inspectors appointed to consider the Council's draft Local Plan will recommence their hearings this month.
The evidence supporting the retention of the Green Belt around Moreton and Saughall Massie, Greasby and Upton, will be considered on 31 October at Birkenhead Town Hall, starting at 9.30am.
Only those who have submitted formal representations to the submitted plan and have registered their request can speak at the hearings. However, any resident can attend and observe.
If the Inspectors find the final Local Plan to be ’sound’ and legally compliant, then subject to any modifications they recommend, the council will be required to approve and adopt the final version of the Local Plan which the council will then use to determine individual planning applications.
Local Councillors Colin Baldwin, Gary Bennett and Vida Wilson oppose plans by three developers to build more than 1,000 homes on our Green Belt and urge the inspectors to agree.
