Calls for the Council to tackle 'out of control' weed growth along Moreton Embankment have followed complaints from residents.The Embankment, used by walkers and cyclists, and visitors to Moreton and Leasowe commons, is now an eyesore, due to neglect by Wirral Council to carry out the most basic maintenance and cleansing.
Following complaints by residents, Councillor Gary Bennett (pictured among the weed growth), has asked for urgent action by the Council. contrasting the neglect with the attention being given to the area around the Open in Hoylake.
