Wallasey Conservative Association has been rated as one of the top three performing local parties by the national Conservative Party.
For the second year in a row, the work of the Association officers, members and volunteers has been recognised in the Association Incentive Scheme.
The Incentive Scheme measures performance against a range of activity including membership, recruitment, campaigning and fundraising.
Councillor Paul Hayes, Chairman of Wallasey Conservative Association, said: "I am delighted our work in Wallasey has, once again, been recognised in this way. We have a strong team of Association Officers, along with great support of Cheshire & Wirral Area Management Executive and our members. Thank you to everyone who has helped us gain this recognition."
Margaret Kalil, Deputy Chairman responsible for membership and fundraising, added: "We have a growing membership - comprising people who are committed to helping us win in this constituency. Together with a wide group of supporters who also chip in with a donation now and again, this means we have the resources we need to campaign locally."
Eve Sorrell, a member of the Association's fundraising team: "We hold a variety of events throughout the year, open to all members and supporters.
”As well as bringing people together after the last few years, these events also help us raise the money needed for our local campaigns."
Councillor Ian Lewis, responsible for campaigning, said: "As we recover from the effects of the pandemic, our members are stepping up to help us get back out into our communities. We are doing this with regular newsletters, doorstep and postal surveys and work to select new councillors. Thank you to everyone who is helping in this way."
Councillor Vida Wilson was elected in May 2022, with the highest Conservative share of the vote of any of the 22 Conservative candidates in Wirral.
And in nearby Wallasey Ward, Councillor Lesley Rennie was re-elected with the highest number of Conservative votes.
Vida said: "Our result in Moreton West & Saughall Massie proves that hard work wins votes. I am delighted that my residents' survey in March helped to secure the award announced by the Party this week."
