Congratulations to Mr Merrifield who won the top prize of £5,000 and Mr Knight who won the 2nd prize of £1,000
Since the council elections, we’ve been working hard on local issues in this community. We’re able to do it because of the support we get from people who vote Conservative.
So, can you help us now? We need to raise £5,000 from our Christmas Draw and Appeal to help pay for local newsletters from our local councillors and candidates here in Wirral.
In May, 7,117 more people voted Conservative than last time. Because of the support of people who voted for us, we’ve been able to:
- Stop Labours plans for coastal parking charges – working with residents to prove to the Town Hall how the charges would do more harm than good
- Force a rethink over the Dog Ban Plan – we’ve worked with dog owners to show how Labour’s plans wouldn’t deal with dog fouling in many of our local roads
- Fighting for our Green Belt – by exposing how 6,000 homes are lying empty in Wirral and could be brought back into use instead of building on our Green Belt
- Oppose loans to other councils – since our full-page advert in the Wirral Globe, Labour hasn’t lent any more of our money to other councils. Let’s hope they’ve got the message!
And we’re doing it while delivering regular newsletters, opinion surveys on local issues and door-to-door visits to residents in our community.
Everyone who takes part in the Christmas Draw and Appeal helps to make this possible. That’s because the income it generates helps us win elections. And by winning elections, we can put the policies you vote for into action.
Taking part in our Christmas Draw doesn’t just help us, it also gives you the chance to win a range of prizes, including a fantastic top prize of £5,000.
